OAKLAND FILM CENTER IS BUILDING A PHYSICAL SPACE in Oakland to serve as an inclusive, creative center for the Bay Area filmmaking community——a cultural hub for developing, producing, and exhibiting films for film professionals, that ultimately equips homegrown talent with the education and resources necessary to share their stories with the world. Operating under the belief that filmmakers are essential to our culture and should have sustainable careers, our space will foster connectivity, build a culture, and further the pro-filmmaker movement in the Bay Area. It will be a safe space for all kinds of people to feel powerful in expressing their ideas.
